Last weekend in Vermont was “fuel for the soul!”
It was fun getting away with just the girls to the Mad River Valley this past weekend. We traveled off the beaten path, tasted all kinds of local cheeses, and leisurely sipped coffee in the morning sun.
It had rained on and off on Saturday, but Sunday the clouds broke to reveal the Green Mountains in all their splendor!
My pictures only capture a glimpse of how gorgeous the landscape is in Vermont!
We visited the beautiful
Von Trapp Family Farm on Saturday & Sunday, it felt like
“the hills were alive with the sound of music!”
I took a picture of the same scene.
Rainy & Sunny
Strolling through their gardens was like taking a stroll through the Garden of Eden!
I bought a perennial at the farm so I could remember the Von Trapp Family Farm in my own very garden.
This artisan’s banner summed up our weekend!
Take the time to “feed your soul” and appreciate how beautiful the simple things are.
I would have to say that Vermont is the perfect place to fuel up your soul! ♥
Blessings, Bonnie
P.S.
While at the Warren Store I picked up a CD by a local Vermont instrumental musician~Spencer Lewis.
The CD is titled “Close to Home.”
We popped the CD in the car as we drove..the music was playing, and we were listening as the car rambled through valleys with fields of golden flowers, flowing rivers and mountains.
To listen to an excerpt of the CD just click onto the music player at the very bottom of this page.
This music will always take me back to Vermont!
Wonderful pictures..
ReplyDeleteVermont is a beautiful state..
We took the family there on vacation in the 80's..
Have a fabulous week..
Beautiful photos, we would go up there 2-3 times a year when my son was in Sterling College, Craftsbury, VT. The photos brought back great memories and also made me sad. We enjoyed our visit to the Vermont Country Store and even toured Ben and Jerry's. I hope to get back up there again one day. Bonnie, thanks for sharing!
