  2. Your photos are so beautiful that they should be in a book! One is as wonderful as the next. New England is certainly one of the most lovely places in the U.S. -- my relatives settled in Maine and Mass. way back when -- and I still have some family there. I do love to visit that whole area..... it is especially beautiful in the fall.

  7. Beautiful, peaceful. Thank you for sharing. One question though, do you know what the purpose of the wood doors on the exterior were for. They look like our modern day storm doors. Thanks.

  8. Thank-you! I'm not an historian, but I do believe they were used for weather purposes (like a shutter would be used) and also maybe for intruders as well.
