~The Walker Homestead Fall Show

The rain cleared thankfully  just in time for the show on Saturday. Once again they produced an event to remember. Being hardy New Englanders, a little mud wasn’t going to stop us from having a good time!

Since Penny & I were helping Maria in her booth, she checked us in at the Publick House  in Sturbridge Friday night,  then we would be close by  to set up early on Saturday morning. The Public House http://www.publickhouse.com/

states on their brochure that they’ve been tucking people in for 240 years, simply beautiful!

What made this day even more special was that I finally got to meet “in person” my friend Sarah Post from All Roads Lead Home! Sarah flew all the way out here from Lincoln Nebraska to come to the show.

Sarah and I had a very unique situation, although we both co-owned a magazine last year  with each other, we had never met in the person. We’ve both taken different paths since both of have left the magazine, but  I’m very excited about what she and I both have going on in our lives now. As I’ve always stated and truly believe…God closes one door… but opens another…you just have to have faith. ♥

Not knowing what she was going to wear,  we both showed up in paisley shirts, denim cuffed capris, and sandles…hmmm like a soul sister!

Sarah (below) is chatting it up with Kris Casucci from the Walker Homestead, it was very surreal seeing it in real life, she told me later.

I still have so many more pictures from this day so maybe I’ll just have to sneak them into another post!

  16. What a magnificent blog. I can only envision the path you travel on a daily basis as life in Florida, though lovely, is the total antithesis of a New England existence. Thank you for this beautiful adventure!
