Recently I stayed in Rockport MA (located on Cape Ann) for some time, it was the perfect place to be during this heatwave!
It’s so quaint with all of the old homes nestled in together, and the many interesting shops you can poke around in.
These are just a few of my favorite photos from my stay. I’ll start my photo journey off with
Motif number 1
It’s a fishing shack well-known to students of art and art history as "the most often-painted building in America."
Every time I look back at these pictures, It’ll bring me back to my wonderful vacation spent on the coast.
Blessings, Bonnie
Ok I have to say I am extremely extremely jealous of you. I was married in Rockport, my sister in law had a beautiful house there, I was there in 1984 and looking at your pics it still looks just as beautiful. My sis in law moved to Florida and we lived across the pond for many years so have not got a chance to go back even tho we are back in the states. Anyway Thanks for the great photos and bringing back some memories.

ReplyDeleteI took many a trip up to Rockport, MA several times back when I lived in Boston (decades ago). Even did a one-week watercolor painting class; I was the only student! (I was heavily into art at the time) I stayed at a really neat B&B. Was my first B&B experience! And that was the summer before the Big Blizzard (winter of 1978), in which Motif #1 was destroyed. It was quickly re-built, of course. Was glad, though, that I'd gotten to see the earlier "original"! Ahhh, what fun memories. Perfect for this hot day! HUZZAH!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent photos, Bonnie! You sure do know what you are doing. Each and every one is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFriends,

ReplyDeleteThese beautiful pictures take me back to my childhood! Rockport is the town where I grew up. There is no place like it.
