Don’t you just love the simple pleasures of life?
Recently my simple pleasures included capturing the first snowfall here since October. How beautiful the trees looked all heavy laden with snow today.
I loved peering through a window to spy a frosty sunrise…
… smelling the aroma of a homey candle, ahh.
I love the simple pleasure of indulging in a sweet treat, hmmm…
…or the simple pleasure of seeing neatness & simplicity…
A snowy red & white scene is just picture perfect to me. ♥
I love folky snowmen…
…snowballs and…
… SNOWDAYS!
I also love the simple pleasure of hugging a faithful companion…
… and sitting by a warm fire…
…or finding a really good book!
Speaking of good books,
I had such a pleasure last night, I was able to meet & chat with Franklin & Esther Schmidt who just recently published this wonderful primitive decor book which is filled with their exquisite photography!

Franklin & Esther were shooting for Country Sampler Magazine
at my friend Sue’s home for a future issue, you’ll just love Sue’s home!
It was such a pleasure to sit down with a cup of tea and chat with this couple, they had so many interesting stories to tell and inspiring words of wisdom for me as well, I took it all in and I felt very honored sitting there listening to them.
They signed my book and…
Then I had them sign my Country Sampler!
I went home to indulge myself in the simple pleasure of PRIMITIVES!
This book is one of those books that you just can’t stop pouring over!
My last simple pleasure is in telling you that coming some time in the next following months to a Primitive/Country Shoppe near you will be the release of a
Primitive Days Calendar
2013
featuring my photography!

As I prepared dinner on the final eve of 2011 I had time to reflect on the good of what happened to me in the past year, and the not so good. I’m very grateful for the many opportunities which I’ve had, and for the ones which will come in the following year. I want to thank each and every one of you for being a follower of my “photo journey” and also to my family for being so supportive of all of my many endeavors!
I made some comfort food straight out of Yankee Magazine’s latest issue,

I’m really trying to embrace winter.

It was just what the doctor ordered!
We quietly rang in the New Year, full from our food fest.
Harley is resting with his “paw-tay” hat on!
On the first day of the new year we spent outdoors at a local mountain enjoying some “man made'’ SNOW!
We haven’t seen any snow here in New England since October!, hard to believe! It was good to be outdoors and enjoying this nice warm weather.
One of the holiday gifts that I really treasured this year came from a friend of mine, she had this made for me by another friend , click the link below to her new blog and become a follower!

She picked out all of the photos (good choice) and when I want to change them out I just clip new ones on. I love that idea!
It now hangs in my mudroom.
Hoping that 2012 brings you much happiness, peace & joy!
